Who are we and what do we do?

  • We are the Queen’s University of Belfast Science Fiction and Fantasy society.
  • We are here to promote Science Fiction and Fantasy throught the student population at Queen’s. We try to do this by:
    • Promoting interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy
    • Providing a forum for debate and discussion on Science Fiction and Fantasy
    • Provide an environment for expression and creativity of the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres

When and where do we meet?

  • We have weekly meetings every Wednesday night in club rooms 3 and 4 in the QUB Students Union. Our meetings start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Of course, people do go to the bar for a pint afterwards :)
  • We also occasionally have special events on other days and nights. Details of these are always announced on the front page of this site and on the Special Event page

What do we do at our meetings?

  • We have a wide range of activities each week, including a Creative Group, weekly showings of new and classic Science Fiction and Fantasy TV shows and movies, quizes, debates and guest talks. The best way to find out what’s going on in a particular week is to check out the What’s On page
  • As we are here for you, the student, our monthly schedule is always open for debate and is entirely flexible for modern events. Discussions of our schedule take place both at our meetings and in our forums
