Forums and more!

Hey guys.

We are pleased to announce that our forums are now open for business. There you will be able to point out plot holes, engage in geeky discussion and squee with fellow fans. To get there just click on the Forums link above :)

Last week we attempted to have a quiz night. However due to there being a lack of people we were unfortunately forced to cancel it at the last moment. Therefore in a last minute change to our schedule we shall try and have our quiz night this week. There will be a prize for the winning team as always :D

On Saturday we hosted a Doctor Who Day in the Students Union. The event was reasonably successful and we were able to raise £99. Thanks to all who attended and took part.

As you may notice, we now have the first of our new banners. However we are still looking for more to make the site look even better. To remind you, we are looking for banners that are 780×200 pixels and preferably in the PNG image format. A large version of the offical society logo can be downloaded here. Please submit all banner applications to chairbeing@qubscifi.org.uk. I hope to see some interesting submissions from you soon :) ,

Finally, due to circumstanced beyond our control, next Wednesday (December 5th) we are unable to use our regular venue in the Students Union. As such we decided to have our Christmas Dinner that night instead. This week is the last week for getting in your deposits (£15) and registering interest for attending. We hope to see you in attendance.

A quick update

Hi guys.

Just to let you know, tomorrow night (Wednesday 20th) is our quiz night. So prepare your brains for another fiendish set of rounds, hopefully you will be able to win the prize :)

Also, slightly further on the horizon is our Doctor Who day. This shall be taking place on Saturday 24th November in the Queen’s University Belfast Student’s Union up in the club rooms. We hope to start at around 11am and proceed on until 10pm at the latest. At the day you will be able to watch modern and classic episodes, have some discussions with other fans, enter our raffle, and take part in our quiz. Entry is £1 which shall be donated to Children in Need.

In website related news, we shortly plan on having forums where you will be able to discuss tv shows, point out plot holes, and (hopefully) relax a bit. Keep your eyes peeled for the new link sometime soon :)

** *Edit**

Unfortunately our quiz night was unable to go ahead this week due to there not being enough people to take part. However we hope to have it on December 12th. Hope to see you there.
