Quiz night was a decent success. We hope to run it again in a months time. Congratulations to “4 People, 2 Brains” on their outstanding victory, and congratulations to all who took part. You definitely helped make it interesting 
Our AGM shall be in two weeks time on the 24th of October. At the AGM we shall be doing many things related to the running of the club, most importantly the voting in of the remainder of the new committee. If you are interested on being on our new committee then check out below for the positions that are up for grabs.

If you want or need more information on the positions available check out the Committee details page . Once you are sure what post you wish to stand for please email your intentions to qubsf.fwebmaster@googlemail.com. We will also accept nominations at the meeting, but it would help make things go smoother if you email us in advance If for whatever reason you are unable to make the AGM but do want to stand for a position then please email a short speech as to why you want to stand for the position. Please try to keep the speech to only a minute or two long. This is to help convince the voting members in the event of multiple people standing for the same position.
Finally, this week is our US TV show night, where we shall be showing some of the best new US Sci-Fi and Fantasy programs hot off the airwaves. We hope to see you there.

This week shall be the first in our hopefully monthly quiz nights. The quiz shall be starting at 8pm, where we shall ask you questions of varying fiendishness. Before our quiz starts we are planning on showing you a selection of some of the best and funniest TV quiz shows to get you into the mood.
Again, this week our meeting shall be taking place in the Snack bar (the large room we were in last week(Thanks Richard for pointing out the mistake)). If you are unable to remember your way there, or were unable to attend last week for whatever reason. Don’t worry. We shall again put up signs pointing you in the right direction
Finally, our AGM shall be in two weeks (October 24th). The AGM is unfortunately one of those things that every club needs to do once a year. However it should only last an hour or so. More details about the AGM will be announce at our weekly meeting this Wednesday.

If you are reading this then you are now viewing our new, improved and easier to update website During the coming weeks and months we hope to bring you new and exciting content that we were unable to easily deliver on our previous website.
Now, I want all readers to do something. As part of our new site design I would like everyone to submit a new banner for the top of the site. I would like you to incorporate the club logo in the banner, though you could also create a suitably Sci-Fi or Fantasy based with the club name on it too . You can download the logo (in PSD, JPEG and PNG formats) in a zip file here. The best looking banners (yup, I said banners) shall all be used on the site on a random rotation, so that hopefully every time you reload the page you will get a different banner
Your banners need to have a resolution of 780×200 pixels (780 wide, 200 high) and I would appreciate it greatly if you submit them in the PNG image format. Please submit all banners to qubsf.fwebmaster@googlemail.com.
